Libation is Nairobi’s newest online cocktail bar and store. Traversing beyond imagination while keeping it Local.
The brief was to create a logo and social media artworks that represent the brand.
DESIGN BREAKDOWN
-The logo features an upper case ‘L’ with a lower case ‘i’ superimposed at the bottom. The idea came from the meaning of the word Libation; pouring a drink as an offering. The ‘i’ lying horizantally represents the ground upon which the drink is poured.
Each spirit had its own representation in regards to the brand colour:
-Brown represented by BANO ( a childhood game which involved playing with marbles) is a whiskey based cocktail.
-Light Brown represented by KALONGO ( a childhood game that simulated a functional home where the roles were shared equally) is a vodka based cocktail
-Green represented by KATI (a childhood game that involved tossing around a small ball from one person to another. The aim is for the people in the middle not to be hit) is a Gin based cocktail
Each spirit had its own artwork.
