Mtaa lamu is a body of work featuring the swahili architectural prowess of Lamu old town.
The artworks feature Arabic iteration of the word LAMU and the subscript is a fun fact about Lamu. The subscript can only be read when the artwork is mirrored (this is because in most Arab nations they often read from right to left).
Mtaa lamu pieces are extremely limited. Order now to own a piece of one of the most iconic expressions of Swahili architecture (only available in Kenya)
A special thank you to Sandy Bornman for the photographs that I based my work on.
